Books on Building Crokinole Board Game

From LoveToKnow BoardGames

If you are a real fan of Crokinole, or just love a good do-it-yourself project, then a book on building a Crokinole board game is a must for your library. It is a fun project, but don't expect to save a lot of money by doing it yourself. Given the cost of materials and time you will spend working on it, your board will probably cost almost as much as a good commercial board. Crokinole is a classic. Probably first invented in the 1860s, the oldest game board dates to the mid-1870s. The game was awarded a patent in 1880. It has remained a popular “flick-and-bounce” game ever since.

How to Play

Either two or four players (divided into two teams) can play Crokinole. The object of the game is to flick your wooden disk so that it bounces and lands as close to the hole in the center of the board as possible, ideally into the hole itself. You have to do that while blocking your opponent's attempts to do the same.
