From LoveToKnow BoardGames

The webslinging action of your favorite neighborhood Spider Man comes to life in Hasbro’s Spider Man Monopoly game.

Classic Monopoly in Many Forms

From Monopoly Here and Now World edition and The Muppets to many other pop culture, film, sports and television varieties, the charm of Monopoly has not waned. In many ways the different variations of the game brings in more players. It has gone from the boring game that takes hours to play to a game that is more green, always changing and always fresh. These changes are exciting to new players, and instead of being an old shoe they can be Spongebob or Spider Man. The new versions of Monopoly give players collectible pieces and game rules unique to that version, and Spider Man Monopoly is no different.

Monopoly is the cultural icon that almost never was. The original game was played on fabric at a kitchen table. This obviously has changed for the better, but initially Parker Brothers refused to buy the game because it contained so many errors. The daunted but stalwart creator continued to make the games in his home until Parker Brothers finally caught wind of it and bought the game. Now Monopoly is a game played by millions in hundreds of countries. It stands as a tribute to the spirit of entrepreneurship. There seem to be no signs of stopping the production or the variations of the game today.
